  1. After MERCEDES-BENZ GLC-CLASS model were conducted 4 TNCAP impact tests, the results are as follows:
    (1)
    For "Offset Deformable Barrier Frontal Impact Tests", the front passenger's neck protection is rated as "Marginal" and the driver and other passengers have "Good" or "Adequate" protection in all body parts. However, there was insufficient protection in the passenger's front airbag, therefore the score for this item is deducted.
    (2)
    For "Full Width Frontal Impact Tests", the driver and passenger have "Good" or "Adequate" protection in all body parts.
    (3)
    For "Side Impact Mobile Deformable Barrier Tests", important body parts have "Good" protection and get full score.
    (4)
    Under more severe test conditions of the "Oblique Pole Side Impact Tests", important body parts have "Good" or "Adequate" protection.
    (5)
    This vehicle model has rescue sheet in Chinese version for rescue personnel's reference during emergency operations. In addition, after the impact test, the doors can be opened manually, and the seatbelts can be released normally.

  2. The car owner's manual clearly records the information on child restraint system applicable to the rear seat. The rear seat can be correctly installed with all types of child restraint system (universal, ISOFIX and i-Size) after being tested. Vehicle manufacturer recommends suitable child restraint system information for different age groups. Besides, the vehicle is equipped with the capability to install i-Size child restraint system on the left and right seats of the second row with i-Size labels, it can also accommodate larger rear-facing child restraint system. The front passenger seat is equipped with an automatic airbag deactivation switch, the system can stably operate and effectively provide the airbag status through visualization for the driver and the front passenger.

  1. MERCEDES-BENZ GLC-CLASS has a standard-fit speed assistance system but cannot recognize the traffic signs for time, distance and vehicle category. When the vehicle speed exceeds the manual speed limit, the system can effectively warn the driver by audiovisual warning and can stably maintain the actual vehicle speed within 5km/h of the manual speed limit.
  2. Both front and rear seats are equipped with a standard-fit seatbelt reminder, the system can effectively alert driver through audiovisual warning. However, the rear seats are not equipped with occupant detection system, the points for this item are deducted. Besides, the vehicle is equipped with a driver state monitoring system as standard and complies with the relevant requirements.
  3. The vehicle is equipped with a standard-fit lane support system. In the overtaking scenario of emergency lane keeping, 1 test scenario (with both VUT and GVT travelling at 72 km/h and a lateral speed of 0.7 m/s) failed to effectively avoid a collision. Besides, in the road edge scenario of lane keeping assist, the system cannot automatically intervene to correct the driving direction to the original driving path, therefore the points for this item are deducted. Furthermore, all the functions of human machine interface meet the protocol.
  4. This vehicle model is equipped with a standard-fit autonomous emergency braking system, which is rated as "Good" protection in high-speed performance tests. However, part of the functions of human machine interface do not meet the protocol, therefore, the points for this item are deducted. 3 test results are as below:

    Car-to-Car Rear Stationary (CCRs) of FCW tests, collision occurred only at 80km/h on the right front (-75% overlap) of the vehicle. However, the system can mitigate the degree of injury.
