After the HONDA CR-V model were conducted the four TNCAP impact tests, the results are as follows: For “Offset Deformable Barrier Frontal Impact Tests”, the body parts of driver and passenger have "Good" or "Adequate" protection. For “Full Width Frontal Impact Tests”, the head and neck protection performance of the rear seat passengers was rated as "Poor", and the protection performance of the chest was rated as "Poor" due to the high seat belt tension, but the driver’s important body parts have "Good" protection. In the “Side Impact Mobile Deformable Barrier Tests”, all important body parts have "Good" protection and gets full points; in side pole test with more severe test conditions, chest protection was rated as "Adequate". Other important body parts have "Good" protection. However, the side air curtains of this vehicle model does not provide enough protection for the rear seat passengers, so points were deducted.
In the front seat and rear seat whiplash tests, the front seat has "Adequate" protection for the occupant's neck, and the rear seat has "Good" protection for the occupant's neck.
This vehicle model has a standard-fit autonomous emergency braking system, it performed well with to avoid collisions in all City test scenarios. However, whiplash performance of front seat did not reach "Good" protection. Thus the AEB City system was not awarded points.

Comments

After the HONDA CR-V model were conducted “Offset Deformable Barrier Frontal Impact Tests”, for 6-year-old and 10-year-old children of crash performance, the chest protection performance of the 6-year-old child dummy was rated as "Marginal", but the performance of the neck protection of the 10-year-old child dummy was rated as "Poor", and the other important body parts of the child dummy in the car have "Good" or "Adequate" protection. However, when the 10-year-old child dummy moves forward during the test, the seat belt slipped from the shoulders and affects the restraint effect, so points were deducted. After “Side Impact Mobile Deformable Barrier Tests”, the important body parts of the child dummy in the vehicle was rated as "Good" protection.
The car owner’s manual clearly records the information on child restraint system applicable to the rear seat. The rear seat can be correctly installed with some types of child restraint system (universal and ISOFIX) after being tested. And it can accommodate larger rear-facing child restraint system, but the owner's manual does not specify that the middle seat of second row suitable for installing universal child restraint system, and there is no information for left and right seats of the second row suitable for installing group II/III of ISOFIX child restraint system. besides, this vehicle model doesn’t provide the function for installing i-Size child restraint system.

Comments

After the HONDA CR-V model were conducted “Headform Impact Tests”, the vehicle's A-pillar and the adjacent areas to bottom of the windshield were relatively hard, so the head protection performance was rated as "Weak" or " Poor ", and most of the rest of the hood were rated as "Good" protection. After the pelvis impact test and leg impact test, the front bumper of the vehicle caused a large impact force on the femur and pelvis of the pedestrian, so the performance was rated as "Marginal".
This vehicle model has a standard-fit autonomous emergency braking system, it performed well to avoid collisions in all nearside adult scenarios.
However, collisions occurred at 50km/h to 60km/h tests of farside adult scenarios, and 20km/h to 60km/h in nearside child scenarios in which the system cannot effectively mitigate the degree of injury at 25km/h, 30km/h and 40km/h to 60km/h.

HONDA CR-V is not equipped with a speed assist system, and therefore no points were awarded for this item.
Only the driver seat is equipped with standard-fit seatbelt reminder, but front passenger seat and rear passenger seats are not equipped with seatbelt reminder, and therefore no points were awarded.
When the vehicle drifts from the driving lane, the lane support system can alert and automatically intervene to correct the driving direction to the original driving path. However, all the functions of human machine interface do not meet the protocol, and therefore no points were awarded.
The vehicle model is equipped with a standard-fit autonomous emergency braking system, it performed well to avoid collisions in all high-speed performance tests and rated as "Good" protection. For FCW test collision occurred at 75km/h and 80km/h tests of Car-to-Car Rear Stationary (CCRs), and for AEB and FCW tests, collision occurred at 12m headway、6m/s2 deceleration scenarios of Car-to-Car Rear Braking (CCRb), but the system can effectively mitigate the degree of injury. Besides, all the functions of human machine interface do not meet the protocol, so no points were awarded.
